Back in December of last year, I spent my first Christmas away from home, BUT I also got the privilege of going to visit my cousin in Salzburg. I spent about 5 days there and here the photos.
My personal highlights include: going to a thermal bath and trying all the different baths with salt quantities and temperatures (I floated without trying in the one with the most salt) and floating in one that was outside while it started snowing, the delicious breakfasts and dinners prepared for me by my cousin Kori, our trip to the small ski town where we saw snow and ate apple strudel, our hike up Untersberg in the Austrian Alps, our trip to Berchtesgaden (a German town just over the border) where we went to a beautiful Christmas market and I tried currywurst for the first time, Kori driving up us this crazy mountain in the pitch dark to go get kaese spaeztle in this tiny place nestled in the mountains and nearly driving off a cliff.
I LOVED this trip!! Thank you to Kori and Hans Peter for hosting me. You don't know how much of a reprieve this was for me!
